The Communities of Life Forum (Minamisanriku INOCHI MEGURU MACHI GAKKAI)
The Communities of Life Forum (Minamisanriku INOCHI MEGURU MACHI GAKKAI) born from the Minamisanriku Inochi Meguru Machi Council, which brings together businesses and residents of Minamisanriku Town to consider and collaborate on sustainable ways to increase the value of the region’s forests, villages, and marine resources. In the forum, researchers and the general public can share knowledge about “MEGURU GA MIERU*” and share ideas for realizing a sustainable society.
*”MEGURU GA MIERU” means that revealing and predicting the connections and the circulations.

Satoumi Satoyama Weeks
After the Great East Japan Earthquake, Minamisanriku Town has been exploring ways to develop a town that coexists with nature. This tourism event, starting in 2021, aims to create Minamisanriku’s future through the integration of tourism and the environment. It is a place to taste, learn, and enjoy the blessings of Minamisanriku Town, which coexists with its satoumi and satoyama.
